“I have had the pleasure of working with Nita Singh Kaushal both as a colleague and as a student in her Stanford Continuing Studies Course, BUS 160 Leadership Skills for Women in the Workplace: How to Aim High and Achieve Impact. As a colleague, I have found Nita to be resourceful, willing to step in to serve students as needed, a great thought-partner, and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to navigating being a woman in leadership, especially within STEM. Every time I have reached out to Nita to partner, she has always been willing to contribute and has been a student favorite based on student feedback during a Women in STEM cohort program that I co-teach.
While learning from Nita as a student in BUS 160, she had a knack for being able to connect with each of us, customizing the material to fit our needs. I left with practical skill-sets, tools to be able to continue to use and adapt, as well as connections to other students in the course as a result of the collegial environment she developed. After completing the course, I was able to put things into practice in real-time, which has helped me navigate and continue to grow in leadership roles. Moreover, as a person, Nita has a heart of Gold. She cares deeply about the work that she is doing, which is evidenced through her investment of time and energy into ensuring she makes the path easier for the women that will come after her.
